1/32 Linens

The original, ground-breaking Aviattic "linen", streaking, painted effects and "woodgrain" effect decals!

PC10's, PC12's, CDL etc.

Beware imitations - my linen effect range has recently been 'borrowed' by Lukgraph...

Apply to white gloss undercoat, pale cream or grey to give variations - many different pre and post shading techniques allow a level of realism never possible before..and applications beyond WW1 modelling.
Try the linens to simulate tarpaulins, sails, parachutes.....

For slicing as rib tapes choose "White Decal Paper" which gives a solid colour,

Please note that some colour variation may occur as this is a different type of paper ..the effect and contrast is very realistic!

All colours are my interpretations of the colours of the period and arrived at after much debate and testing with my very talented and patient decal artists, Juanita Franzi and, on occasion, Dave Douglass.

I worked in the antiques and interiors trade for thirty years, specialising in colour and paint effects and restoration. This experience helped greatly when evaluating and studying real artefacts of WW1 aircraft parts and fabric coverings, both printed and painted.

The work and theories of historian Alan Toelle have been an inspiration for decades and the guidance of historian Bruno Schmäling and occasionally Manfred Thiemeyer, invaluable..

After having been shamefully shunned by the established English-speaking WW1 publishing world for many years, Bruno has now found an outlet through the wonderful Aeronaut Publications group and the occasional article in US journal "Over the Front" - publications no WW1 aviation student or modeller should be without.
